About the Internship
This role will take place on our UWE SAP3 (student accommodation project three) site on the Frenchay Campus, in which we are building three blocks of Student Accommodation to Passivhaus Standard.

Main purpose of role
To support the final stages of the project in achieving Passivhaus accommodation. Learners will see first hand what goes into the delivery of a green/sustainable construction project.
​
What would you be doing?
The intern will be supporting the construction team on site as the project is nearing completion. They will work with the construction management team, monitoring and recording works undertaken as rooms are completed.​
​
They will also work with the design and commercial teams signing off final work ensuring works and data are in order for the Passivhaus accreditation.
​
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Experience
​
Desirable qualifications
-
Degree (either completed or currently studying) in a construction or engineering related field.​
​
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience
-
An interest in a career in a construction related field.

Experience in construction is desirable but not essential.

Computer skills would be helpful for use of inhouse systems (training will be provided).
​
Essential key competencies
-
Communication, organisation, time keeping.

Desirable key competencies
-
Problem solving, teamwork, numeracy.
