About the Internship
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to train as a facilitator for our 'Energy Help Desk'. They will chat with the public about how to reduce their energy use at home and to signpost people to the help that is available for those struggling to pay their bills. Most of this will occur at the 'Energy Department' in the Sparks space in Broadmead with other events where requested.
You will receive training from Bristol Energy Network in basic energy advice and will be using resources from BEN and the Centre for Sustainable Energy. You will have contact with and support from the BEN team in our office.

Main purpose of role
To support Bristolians to understand their energy use and how to access support if struggling with their bills.
What would you be doing?
Attending events and the Sparks 'Energy Department' to offer advice and signposting to those with questions about energy. Training will be given and printed materials to hand out to people. Recording and reporting back numbers of encounters.
Where is the opportunity based?
This role will be based at Sparks Bristol (the old M&S shop in Broadmead) and the BEN office in Stokes Croft.
Sparks is open Wednesday - Sunday 11am-6pm (5pm on Sunday). Slots can be flexible but will be during these hours. Paperwork can be done in the office or at home.
This role requires attendance at events.
